Brian was born in Sydney and grew up in Randwick of Scottish parents. At the age of 15, he started working as a DJ for his sister’s mobile disco company and by 18 Brian had completed the Max Rowley radio course. From there he set out to work in Moree at radio 2VM. On his return to Sydney, he worked for several of the community radio stations around the Western Suburbs including 2CT and 2GLF. Brian went on to spend many years in the club industry as a compere and host in entertainment. He had not seen a radio studio for 30 years until he walked into Lake Macquarie FM and, with a face full of smiles and a computer full of songs, he is now very much at home. Brian is also involved with community fundraising. He presents Rock ‘n’ Roll Trivia nights from time to time to help various charities and is always willing to host any event. We welcome Brian Walker, as a great asset to Lake Macquarie FM.
