Wayne has lived on the Central Coast for over 50 years, growing up at East Gosford, moved to Mannering Park in 1988, then to Buff Point. He has been involved in many sports and interests, including Cricket, Baseball, Rugby League, Golf and Harness Racing. Of course a major interest is music, particularly "Live" and Original Aussie/Kiwi Music.

He also enjoys the beach, bush and has recently purchased a small campervan to get out and see some places. As well as sport and music, Ossie has worked in the Banking sector for 16 years, then Juvenile Justice and Youth Work, Family Support and Mentoring over the past 23 years. He is also involved in many fundraising activities around the Central Coast/Lake Macquarie area.

Ossie’s wife Connie passed away in June 2018. Each program which he presents is dedicated to Connie.

Radio

Ossie commenced working in Community Radio in the 1990’s, presenting a sport and racing program as well as music programs on the old 2CCCFM (Coast FM).
He came to Lake Macquarie FM 97.3 in 2011 presenting This Is Australia, 60s, 70s and 80s and then switched to drive time, which then moved to Wednesday Nights (Ossie And Friends). In between stations, Ossie also provided the Late Mail and Tips for Wyong Harness Racing via 2KY Racing Radio.

Program

Ossie And Friends is presented by him each Wednesday Night,  between 6 pm and 9 pm, playing predominately Australian and New Zealand Music, with a few classics from overseas artists thrown in.
The show also features chats with Country Music artists from Australia and New Zealand, “live” chats in the studio with local and national musos, often with "live" studio performances and his off-sider, Hodgey looks after the phones and provides some comic relief.

Ossie also hosts Sports Squawk every Saturday Morning at breakfast time. Sport Squawk is a mix of local sports results and upcoming events. It includes on-air chats with local sporting identities and club representatives. Segments include Fishing, Bowls, Rugby, Football, Harness Racing (including tips from Lucky Les), Rugby League and Race Tips from Peter The Clocker.
