Brian ‘Howdy’ Howden paved his way towards broadcasting via his Mum and her absolute love of music during his formative years. An opportunity presented itself to work as a Mobile Disc Jockey spinning vinyl throughout the city of Sydney and its suburbs in 1984 thus his radio apprenticeship had begun.
Howdy was known as the voice of Rugby League for over ten years on the Central Coast, ground announcing games and associated events. Since 2018 Howdy has been the Central Coast Roosters Rugby League Football Club (NRL Roosters Subsidiary) ground announcer.
During this time Howdy was approached to join Lake Macquarie FM 97.3 . After radio broadcasting training and certification during 2012 Howdy’s dream of being a radio broadcaster began.
